I'm starting this year without resolutions as these can turn into just another stress factor & who needs anymore of these?!!
This year will start with some changes for me and those should be positive ones - so 2015 is already looking up!
Wishing you all a year filled with joy, fun and laughter... Stay true to yourself and all will be good :-)
Going to leave you with small collage of view from my apartment that I never get sick off.

Easy-peasy Cranberry sauce
Why would anybody buy that hideous stuff in can when you can make a delicious sauce yourself?
Today I amended my standard recipe a little but it is still easy-peasy with just a few ingredients.
2 bags of fresh cranberries (I pick through them to eliminate any mushy ones)
Zest and juice of an orange
1 peeled and chopped juicy pear
2 sticks of Cinnamon
3/4 cup of fine sugar
Combine all ingredient in pot and bring to slow simmer.
Simmer for about 25 mins or until 3/4 of cranberries have popped. If mixture gets to thick you can add a bit of water orange juice.
Serve warm or let cool and enjoy :-)
So will you still buy the canned stuff?

To keep or not to keep?
Recently scored these Cole Haan booties online for 50% off.
They arrived yesterday and I just tried them on - maybe a snitch tight in the toe area and feel a bit stiff in ankle area but maybe that can be fixed with leather softening spray. Ordered refill of that on Amazon already.
Really like those booties bc the black-gold metallic look is nothing that I have in my closet at the current time. Think they could get away as a great 'neutral' as they would work with black, brown, blue, green, and even purple. So bottom line they may just be a perfect fit for my many coloured jeans in my closet (I may have a problem with coloured jeans like in way too many ;-)).
So what do you think - should I risk and keep them although they need breaking in?

Guilty pleasure
Please forgive me for an odd post (well, maybe all my post are odd ;-)).
I'm not having a great time and today was a day with particularly bad news so I may just have a big old spoonful of guilty pleasure that I indulge in since going to university back in EU many moons ago.
Here it is in all it's glory
I should add that this size lasts me a few months.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?

Monday... Seasonal Nails
I like to play with nail polish... A lot like in having an insane collection and every time I go to beauty store I sure buy another colour ( hey, it is a small investment to make you feel good).
I almost always do my nails myself - just so used to it as back in EU we did not have many studios and now it saves me some money that I can spend on other things.
Being in a somewhat conservative work environment I typically try to tone it down and go for an accent nail only.
Without intention I recently painted my nails kinda seasonal...
Used Orly in Temptress and China Glaze 1127 Argo. Got both on clearance for a few dollars if I recall correctly. Was very pleased with staying power of both - full week and almost no chips (even washed dishes w/o gloves a few times). Always use base and top coat though.
What are your favs?
