Not a winter person... but love me some serious boots

I will be brutally honest - I am not fond of winter. It is kind of OK until Xmas but right after spring could start for me.

Well, so you can imagine that blizzard last week was not my cup of tea either, however, it gave me a good excuse to break in my new boots that mom gifted to me when I was back home:

Wearing hand-knitted wooly things and boots... maybe winter is not so bad after all.

These are some examples of her cashmere 2ply (heavy lace/light fingering) - I started a plain cowl in Hayride right away and knitting with this yarn feels like cuddling a kitten! More to come...
